Dulce De Leche

Something that my mom makes that my family is obsessed with is is Dulce de Leche, Dulce de Leche is a caramel sauce, and it is probably the most AMAZING sauce in the world!!!

How you make it is:

  • Get a large pot (large enough that your can of sweetened condensed milk can have around 3-4 inches of water over them
  • Get a few jars of TIGHTLY SEALED (if your condensed milk isn’t tightly sealed then they might explode!) sweetened condensed milk
  • Water
  • A stove 🙂

Once you have your ingredients you will want to put your TIGHTLY SEALED sweetened condensed milk into the pot and cover the containers with about 2-4 inches of water

Next simmer your water with the condensed milk in it for 1 1/2 to 4 hours (the longer you simmer it the darker and more flavorful it gets)

When your water with the condensed milk has simmered for 1 1/2 to 4 hours take your Dulce de Leche cans out of the pot (be careful they may be hot) and let them sit for 2 hours or more then enjoy!!
